Once upon a time there was a girl (*me) who was going through a really rough time (haven't we all been there?) and it all seemed pretty hopeless and dire.. much wine was drunk. She wishes for something better, some way out of the void.. and then appeared this wonderful beautiful friend. Out of nowhere, just at the right time.. like a shining angel. She lent me her hope, her strength and her courage and with her guidance I pulled myself outta that place! Then as mysteriously as she appeared she also disappeared but left in her wake a very different person to the one she had found. Here's my tribute to a Guardian Angel!
The vibe is uplifting, optimistic, hopeful, upbeat. The melody soars in a folky fashion, the lyrics are poignant and intelligent. Poetry in a song!

She arrived just as all Hope was departing
When love was a stranger and Satan was laughing
When years of oppression had taken their toll
And a black icy river was drowning my soul
Seemed as if my life was destined for failure
A pointless ordeal between cradle and graveyard
To which place I raced with alarming great haste
Till she came out of nowhere and took up the reins...
